The first 2000 Days
Science has shown that 80 percent of the brain’s growth happens before the age of 3 and that the first 2,000 days of a child’s life – from birth to kindergarten – are critical to emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
People with enriched experiences during this vital time are more likely to:
- Enter kindergarten on track
- Read on grade level by 3rd grade
- Graduate from high school
- Have the skills needed by employers
- Contribute more in tax dollars
