Parent Liaison

Sanaa Sharrieff is a mother of two adult children and a set of school-age twins. She has a BA in Psychology and some MA studies in Clinical Psychology, both obtained at North Carolina Central University. She has several years of experience in the mental health field with a focus on children and families. She is currently a COFI Facilitator. In the past, she has served as Parent Policy Council Chair at Macedonia Head Start in High Point. Prior to joining Ready Ready staff, she volunteered as a parent leader with the Guilford Parent Leader Network, served on the Guilford PLN Steering Committee as well as the All-PLN Steering Committee, and made contributions to the Ages 3-5 Design Group with a concentration in Social Emotional Learning. Sanaa also served as a parent voice representative on Ready Ready’s Board of Directors as well as its Finance Committee. Outside of Ready Ready, Sanaa serves as a co-host on The New Neighborhood podcast, which is centered around supporting young children and their families. She also contributes her time to volunteer service on Greensboro’s Ad-HOC Committee on African American Disparity (ACAAD) and is a strong advocate for children and families who have experienced domestic violence. Sanaa often lends her sewing and designing skills to teaching youth how to repair and create their own clothing. She enjoys spending time with her family, teaching entrepreneurship to youth, and serving the community through wellness.
