Andrea Miller joined the staff of Ready for School, Ready for Life in September 2022 as Communications Coordinator focused on the Basics Guilford. With a background mostly in non-profit communications and fundraising, Andrea has provided communications leadership for a variety of organizational missions – economic development, private education, church communications, and educational support. With a deep interest in economic and workforce development, Andrea loves the long-term system-building approach at Ready, Ready and the potential to positively impact the life outcomes of the next generation. At Ready, Ready, Andrea’s primary focus is to support public awareness and use of the Basics through all communications channels.
Andrea holds an undergraduate degree in English from Catawba College as well as a master’s of public affairs from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a focus on community economic development. Andrea is an avid gardener and enjoys the occasional home improvement project. She is married with two young children and has called the Triad home for the last 20+ years.
